The More the Merrier Right?

It all started with this toy dog. Hannah wanted it for Christmas mainly because of a LAME commercial with the happy girl and her "pet" dog. What the commercial neglected to show was

This

And

This

We just knew that if we shelled out 175 bucks for this dog, it would break in about three days because of someone trying to ride it, or take a bath with it.

But it got us thinking...........what if we pulled off a HUGE surprise and got the kids one of these

That's right. A REAL cat!
So Ray and I went to the pound about two weeks before Christmas and picked up this sly guy.

The workers at the pound said that it would be better if we got two of them so that they can play together. (I am sure there was no ulterior motive in that comment) Either way we were suckered and also picked up this little gal.

The cats stayed a secret all the way up until Christmas day!

The kids just LOVE them

We can't wait to see all the wonderful lessons our kids will learn from being pet owners.

That is crazy! We (I mean Santa) gave that dog to Eliza. Same thing, she saw it in a magazine and HAD TO HAVE IT. Let me tell you, it is so easy to take care of because you can turn it OFF! Plus my other two don't get the concept of money and how much was spent.

Those cats are so cute though. We would have one if I wasn't allergic. Seriously, you guys are the cool parents. A REAL cat?

Hey, that's awesome guys! We have a cat and the kids absolutely adore her. We tried to get a second cat once upon a time, but they couldn't get along or share a catbox and one of them ruined our apartment carpet by peeing all over the place.

Ella didn't do too well in the most recent move and we found her peeing in several areas in the basement. Now she is a garage cat, but extremely lovable.

Good luck!

How funny, i just made a post about a pet. but yours are definitely prettier! I love both of them, and they look very well acclimated to the "kids" environment.

I think you were just jealous of your mom's cat.
