First Will waits in his spot on the stairs while Ray says goodnight to Hannah and Benton
Then he gets picked up by Daddy
Up the stairs he goes
He looks out the window and shuts the blinds
Next is a good laugh at himself in the mirror
Then he pulls on the random chain lock on his door that has been there since we moved in
Then he gets dropped off into his crib. No fussing or crying. Just one happy little guy!
(yes I know, Will's room is pink. It is one of the perks of being the third kid. Hand me down bedroom color from big sis!)

and the pink room... not for long! what will do for will's room in the new house? besides rip out the floor and walls... teasing. ;0
We are so over the whole "Trading Spaces" room colors. We have learned our lesson in painting rooms. The whole house is going to be one color. We move the kids around too often to keep up with it all.
Will is fascinating. Ray must have a special connection with Will to come up with that perfect routine. My favorite part is the chain. I understand that pulling the chain is very important. Our dog has many rituals like that...it kinda reminds me of what was said about Will in the Christmas card! :)
That is so funny! When I went back and looked at the pictures, that is exactly what Will reminds me of, a little puppy :) The way he is waiting patiently on the stairs. He really does have dog like tendancies!
Maybe he just craves structure. He knows all the steps before going to bed, so when he FINALLY gets into the crib he is not so surprised of what is expected of him. All of my teaching classes encouraged structure, and of course I have never had any, so I had kids running all over the room screaming all the time. But, if Will gets a "normal" teacher...he will be the teacher's favorite..always following the routine.

That little chunky guy and his nightime routine make me want to
say, "nighty night to a cuddly little sack of potatoes"! (Yes, he looks like a real live "sack of potatoes" riding up those stairs on his dad's back.)
