While we were all enjoying our delicious desserts, benny announces that he, "needs to go potty" But before he leaves the table he makes sure to push his treat to the very middle of the table so that his sneaky little brother won't get his ice cream. While benny is in the bathroom, he hears a chair at the table being pushed back. Thinking it is Will getting his ice cream, Benny comes running out of the bathroom with his underwear around his ankles screaming, "that's my ice cream, that's my ice cream!" Upon surveying the situation and realizing that it was a false alarm, he simply pulls up his pants and resumes eating his ice cream as though this was all completely normal. Which to tell you the truth, it did kind of seem normal. I guess my reality right now is what seems normal to a three year old is normal. I should probably get out the house more often :)

At first I was agreeing with you that it was somewhat sad that such a scene was "normal". But then I paused and thought for a moment, perhaps it is sad if life were so stuffy and pretensious that there would be no room for a person running across the room, dressed or not to defend what he felt was his. So, no need to get out of the house. Maybe everyone else should spend more there too. Too bad you didn't capture him in route back to the ice cream!
I agree with Annee, I'm glad situations like that are normal. It makes life fun. I look at the crazy things my kids do and laugh. It is nice to be able to have something to laugh at so often! What I like more than that story though is the color of your walls! LOVE IT! By the way, I love this blog. I check it everyday and I'm impressed you post each day with a story and a picture. You're amazing...keep it up, I love it.
Great perspective on life annee! It is true that our kids keep our lives fun and entertaining. And christy, I am glad you like the wall color. I never know what people think of our choice in colors.
