I'm still here

My camera ran out of batteries on Monday so this is the only shot I got of the day. I can't keep clothes on these two. Will has burnt buns from running around all day naked.



Will and Tess have an on again off again friendship. First thing in the morning Tess will say, "I no like Weeel" Then by mid morning they are friends, then after lunch they are best friends. Then it's time for Tessie's nap and the whole process starts over again when she wakes up. But no worries, by dinner time they are best friends again....that is until morning... :)



Benny and Luke spent hours finding potato bugs and feeding the ants goldfish.



Grandma and Grandpa stopped by for dinner. They took Benny and Luke back to Park City for a sleep over. Luke was so excited he ran upstairs and packed his whole drawer of clothes.




Avril showed off by walking this car all around the deck. (I can't figure out how to turn off the underline, Brooke has an awesome iMac and I am a little slow on the uptake)



Tess was content to snuggle with grandpa the whole time.

Honestly, this has been a lot of fun! Aaron and Brooke, thanks so much for letting me watch your kids. They are each so sweet. I am so happy to be able to get to know them better.

And about the chair, I tried to glue it back together, but I don't think it will work....sorry :) It was pretty funny. The chair just totally collapsed from underneath me and I fell flat on my behind! I couldn't stand back up I was laughing so hard. Hannah has the same chair at home and when she saw what had happened she said, "Mom, you are not allowed to sit on my chair at home." funny stuff

7 kids Day one

We are here in Utah to spend the last two weeks with my parents before they leave for their mission to Argentina

Hannah and Chloe had their last sleep over for three years at the Park City house. I can't say anymore, I just don't want to start crying......

I have the privilege of watching Aaron and Brooke's 3 kids for a few days while I am here. I have been excited to see what life would be like with 7 kids. Lets just say if you have read the book, "If you give a mouse a cookie" you know exactly what life is like with 7 kids.

My first goal of the day was getting little Tessie to like me.

No problem a little guacamole and chips couldn't solve.

Next, Hannah and Chloe made a very detailed schedule for us to follow. Here are the 1:00 relay races

Followed by prizes

Next was 2:00 lego hour. Luke made sure I knew that he was VERY good at legos. He actually amazed me how he knew what every little piece from his lego box went to, and on which occasion he had gotten them. Smart guy!

Then came 3:00 "free choice" hour. They all chose to "rest".



Did you know that it takes a whole loaf of bread to feed 7 kids cinnamon toast? (Don't worry, Luke was happy as soon as I trimmed the crust off)

This is when the night got a little crazy. Hannah and Chloe came inside saying they had laughed so hard they peed their pants. (a little suspicious I know) Once I got them in the shower, then EVERYONE wanted to take a shower. Soon there were naked kids running around everywhere. It worked out well though, we just got everyone ready for bed.

At 9:30 p.m. I was feeling pretty proud of myself that everyone was in their rooms and the house was quiet. That was until the cat starting puking on the carpet, and I broke Brooke's computer chair while chatting with Ray on Skype!

I am so embarrassed! Sorry Brooke, I will totally buy you a new chair!

I hope you guys are having a great time in Europe. You have awesome kids! I was just telling Ray that I think we could have more kids, no problem. Ray says to tell you guys, "thanks alot"

When I happened upon this scene,Will was nowhere to be found, yet his footprints were everywhere.

Tell me, is it normal in anyone else's house to walk into a room full of dirt thrown everywhere, or frozen raspberries squished all over a bed, or walking outside to find all of your newly budding peaches picked from a tree and scattered everywhere, or finding poop in the backyard (of the human kind), or finding staples in your hardwood floor, or finding a whole bottle of lemon juice spilled on your stone tile creating a permanent white stain, or having your son running around all day with a shirt you think is chocolate stained only to find out it's poop all over him,........is this normal??????? Because these things are an everyday occurrence around here and all of them come from one little guy. (can you see why my blog has been sitting for awhile?)

Benny's first sleep over

Benny had his first sleep over at our house with his friend Angela.

They had a great time. There was a lot of talk about boyfriends and girlfriends, but we have taught Benny to just say, "I can be your boyfriend after my mission." That seems to help change the subject, for the moment.....

In the morning I tried to be the cool mom and make Mickey Mouse pancakes and act like it's something we just do every Saturday morning, I even whipped out the china tea cups. (that is a whole other blog, something to do with Will, all of our cups disappearing, and one day realizing he had been throwing them all away so now all we have is our china cups) Anyways...

They ate about 2 bites. But I know inside they thought I was soooo cool......
