My friend Maureen sent me this video. It PERFECTLY shows my inner dialog with myself EVERYDAY I try to eat healthy. This was just too funny not to share!

Even though we are on the West Coast, Ray makes sure that his southern roots stay alive.

He has taught the kids the bass line on the piano to "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" so that the whole family can join in the fun.

I think he just got sick of playing the banjo by himself...

Happy Fourth of July!!

We kicked off the 4th of July with good ol' red, white, and blue waffles. We use this trick for every holiday. The kids think it is just amazing.

Then we started a new 4th of July tradition.

Basically one person stands out on the sidewalk and dances some sort of jig while the rest of the family throws poppers at their feet. It was very entertaining. I would have to say Ray won this year. What can I say, he's got the "jimmy legs".

Avril turned 1 the end of June
